‘Galle Dialogue’ International Maritime Conference, will be held for the 10th consecutive year, providing the way for the national and international maritime professionals to make contributions towards maritime security.
The Galle Dialogue International Maritime Conference 2019 is scheduled to be held on 21st & 22nd October 2019 at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka
Approximately 150 foreign participants including Chiefs of Navies, Ambassadors/ High Commissioners, Flag rank Officers of the Navies, Intellectuals & Defence Attaches representing about 50 countries and 150 local participants from defence sector & Governmental/Non-governmental agencies related to maritime sector are expected to participate.

Reception at The Airport (Colombo)
All foreign participants will be received at the Bandaranaike International Airport, (BIA) Colombo, by Officers of the Sri Lanka Navy. Delegates provided with Liaison Officers will be received and accompanied throughout the stay in Sri Lanka. Names and contact numbers of Liaison Officers will be uploaded to Galle Dialogue web site by 30th September.
Local Transport
Participants who will be accommodated in hotels other than Galle Face Hotel will be provided with road transport and accompanied to the conference venue (Galle Face Hotel) in Colombo. Accredited DA’s stationed in India may utilized shuttle service available for Officers arriving together/ within short span of time. Distance from BIA to Galle Face Hotel is 36 Kms and approx. time taken by Katunayaka - Colombo Express way (E03) is 45 mins.
Hotel Accommodation and Meals
Accommodation at Galle Face Hotel Colombo and Taj Samudra Hotel Colombo will be provided by the Sri Lanka Navy for participants arriving from foreign countries (See note below). Delegates provided with this facility will be required to pay for telephone calls, laundry, consumption from the hotel room mini bar, liquor/beverages and additional food ordered from the hotel. Accommodation will be available from 1400h on 20th October to 1200h on 23rd October 2019.

Any participant who wish to continue to enjoy Sri Lanka after 1200/23rd October 2019 may do so at own expenses. Liaison officers may assist during such extention on request.
Note : Air Travel and Accommodation for accredited DA’s stationed in India and residential DA’s in Sri Lanka will be as indicated in the invitation.
